11 YEARS AFTER, Can AHON live up to its public depiction?

Started as weekend countryside trampers rediscovering places with tourism potentials then eventually unfolded into environmental advocates, Fun Run Design Planner, Trail Run Managers, Facilitators in Outdoor Practices and Ethics, Scouting Skills Lecturers and Travel Adventures whether local or international destinations.

For years of creating inspiration after every success, AHON enjoyed those delightful achievements as the group continuously gathered good reputation and popularity among its localities.  AHON was recognized by government and private institutions as "selfless and reputable partners of creative and enjoyable development for the community".

Later on, it was also AHON’s premise to transfer its leadership to members, as part of the group’s healthy exercise on equality, creativity on activities to generate appeal for sustainability on membership and to gain more opportunities for personal growth.

The Following are AHON’s collab ventures on institutions with its new Leadership: Notable activities that need to be reviewed.

6th Nagcarlan Sub-Office BSP Camporal
January 16-18, 2024
Labangan Elementary School
Labangan, Nagcarlan, Laguna

AHON was requested to handle facilitation of Bases to demonstrate and teach outdoor skills for Boy Scouts in Elementary Levels. There were 5 Bases planned by DepEd people to cover 2nd day activities, while in the evening, there is a Campfire activity to be handled by some invited Senior Scouts.

Out of the 5 Bases entrusted to us, we only committed 3 Bases. Reason for that is manpower availability on date of the activity.

Pre-Preparation Details
We planned to facilitate the following:
Tent Pitching
Hiking Etiquettes
Campfire Songs

Justification:
ON tent Pitching               - As requested by DepEd, there’s a need to elevate Scouts skills on tent pitching and camp management competencies.

ON Hiking etiquettes        - Necessary information to orient scouts about the next days’ activity: Hiking.  Information to be shared to all scouts is the actual information to be expected during the activity. This will generally involve overall management of the activity which primarily focused on Order and Disciple while hiking, safety & security and emergency response.

ON Campfire Songs          - Since there will be campfire activity in the evening, it is best to orient and familiarize scouts of some campfire songs to be used during the evening program.

Last Day’s activity was Hiking which was also entrusted to AHON to carry out.

Given this information, the group forged a meeting to prepare entrusted requests and set manpower to handle specific tasks:

The following are subsequent communication exchanges to polish what was set and agreed during the meeting:

Pictures were just taken from AHON Facebook Page and Group Chat since there were no clear information even short details of members' performance.

Days after, information from the BSP Municipal Coordinator, via short online messages shared what transpired during the camporal.

This message made a clear indication on how the group AHON made their way to handle tasks entrusted to them. Did they perform well? Let us wait for their responses.
